My elixir of youth. Or my reason for living.
A dynamic and mutually beneficial relationship between humans and animals.
Scientifically, it can be said that the influence of a pet’s company includes physiological, therapeutic and psychosocial aspects. It was observed that everyone who had a pet exercised more, which had a positive effect on their health.
The Elixir of Long Life (Elixir Vitae) is a legendary potion or drink that would have the virtue of prolonging life indefinitely or keeping its youth indefinitely. The search for such an elixir is one of the goals of alchemy.
Several mythologies present such a potion. We will take for example the myths of Enoch, Idunn, Thot and Hermes Trismegistus, who would have consumed them. It appears in one of Nag Hammadi’s texts.
History
No elixir of youth has ever been discovered, although alchemists from ancient China, ancient India and the western world have devoted many efforts to it.
