Few companies in the world can be proud to have a history as old as that of Hahnemühle. The Hahnemühle paper factory, founded in 1584 in Solling in the south of Lower Saxony, has resolutely developed in line with its founding fathers and has become a factory close to its customers and innovative.
Obviously, products and manufacturing methods have changed somewhat since 1584. At the beginning, these were handmade writing papers; later fine art papers and more recently a range of FineArt inkjet digital papers invented by Hahnemühle. In addition, Hahnemühle papers have been used for decades in industrial products and manufacturing processes as well as in research laboratories.
