The Seine that we see dancing with the Zouave, along the quays, under the bridges of Paris, is not what we think …

Epilogue

Be aware that the Seine is not as Parisian as you think and technically it does not even flow under the bridges of the capital.
If we refer to the geographical and hydrographic rules, the Seine does not flow at all in Paris and it is another river, the Yonne, which makes its bed in the capital.
When two rivers meet, it is the one with the greatest flow at that point that is considered the main river, while the other is considered its tributary.
However, at the point of confluence of the Seine and the Yonne, it is not at all the Seine that wins… Where the two rivers meet, in the village of Montereau-Fault-Yonne (Seine- et-Marne), the Yonne has a flow rate of 93 m3 / second… against 80 m3 / second for the Seine!
According to the rules that we learned in school and that are in force in the scientific world, it is therefore the Seine that flows into the Yonne, and not the other way around.

Confirmation

It is therefore the Seine which flows into the Yonne, and not the other way around.
So why did the Seine take the ascendancy over the Yonne? Well, because in Gallic times, the sources of the Seine, located in today’s Côte d´Or, were considered sacred and an important Gallo-Roman sanctuary was established there.
This temple welcomed many inhabitants of the region who came to seek the benefits of this sanctified water, which de facto imposed the idea of the superiority of the Seine over the Yonne. Over the centuries, the Seine has never ceased to maintain its ascendancy over the Yonne …

Worse still, Dawn.

Worse still, it is perhaps even the Aube which flows into the Yonne, because the Seine is also beaten upstream by this other river. The Seine would therefore only be a vulgar tributary of the Aube, itself a tributary of the Yonne.

tmpx Peinture Pigmentaire - Etiquette sociétale

Today, only nostalgia can explain the use of oil paintings.

Acrylic pigment paints are a type of paint using pigments mixed with an aqueous emulsion of polyacrylic or polyvinyl synthetic resins, dilutable with water. Like oil paints, acrylic paints last over time, but oil paints are harmful and polluting. Today all cars are painted with water-based paints.
