Insta ‘Vanitas is an allegory on one of Instagram’s approaches to vanity.
Too many standards kill the standard.
Self-esteem is a necessary feeling for one’s well-being. Instagram has understood this and is playing with it, developing its algorithms, which will give you the impression of being someone extraordinary. Your self-esteem will turn into vanity.
Vanity first designates a human defect: pride.
So a vain person is pretentious, very satisfied with himself.
The word vanity, however, has another meaning. It comes from the Latin word “vanitas” meaning vain, that is to say that which is empty, hollow, useless and illusory.
Instagram would be harmful to the most fragile users.
